Juli is a Japanese-American photojournalist and freelance photographer based in Denver and beyond. Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, she moved to Colorado in 2017 and obtained her bachelor's degree in the Fall of 2024 from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her passion for film began in her youth when she would find herself escaping in cinematic universes that fed her rich imagination. Later on, upon the advice of a family friend who worked in the film industry, she borrowed her first camera (a Nikon) to foster an understanding of the frame and begin working toward a career in film. However, it wasn't until college when she bought her first camera for a photojournalism class that she truly felt determined to continue on a visual path. And after completing a month-long documentary project for her final, the rest has been history. 

Passionate about exploring the human condition, Juli's work ranges from entertainment and weddings, to marketing and spots news. She has partnered with local restaurants for dinner pairings, covered a multitude of sports, 5280 events, gallery openings and nightlife in the Mile High City. Juli's range as a photographer and filmmaker is broad, and she's able to adapt to various situations to create quality work.
